Transliteration

té hí dyāvā-pṛthivī́ viśvá-śambhuvau ṛtā́-varī rájaso dhārayát-kavī | su-jánmanī dhiṣáṇe antár īyate devó devī́ dhármaṇā sū́ryaḥ śúciḥ ||

Translation

ఎందుకంటే ద్యావాపృథివీనే విశ్వశంభువః (సర్వశాంతిదాతలు); ఋతావరీ, కవి-శక్తులై, ఋతం ద్వారా రజస్ (మధ్యలోకాన్ని) ధరిస్తారు. వారి మధ్య—సుజన్మనీ ధిషణే (సుప్రసూతమైన బోధాసనాలు) అంతరంలో—ధర్మం చేత శుచి సూర్యుడు సంచరిస్తాడు; దేవో దేవీగా (దేవుడు-దేవతగా) ।
