Sukta 16
तस्य॒ व्रात्य॑स्य । योऽस्य सप्त॒मोऽपा॒नस्ता इ॒मा दक्षि॑णाः
tásya vrā́tyasya | yó ’sya saptamó ’pā́nás tā́ imā́ dákṣiṇāḥ
Of that Vratya: that which is his seventh—Apāna, the downward breath—those are these priestly fees.
ఆ వ్రాత్యుని—అతనికి ఏడవది అయిన అపాన (అధోగామి ప్రాణం)—అవే ఇవి దక్షిణలు (యజ్ఞదక్షిణ/పురోహిత భృతి).
