Sukta 8.27

Devata: Agni (with Maruts, Brahmaṇaspati, and the Viśve Devāḥ as invoked powers)

अग्निरुक्थे पुरोहितो ग्रावाणो बर्हिरध्वरे । ऋचा यामि मरुतो ब्रह्मणस्पतिं देवाँ अवो वरेण्यम् ॥

agnír ukthe puróhito grā́vāṇo bárhir adhvaré | ṛcā́ yāmi marúto bráhmaṇaspátiṃ devā́ṃ avo váreṇyam ||

Agni é colocado à frente no canto; as pedras de prensar e o assento sagrado estão no sacrifício. Com a ṛc vou aos Maruts, a Brahmaṇaspati e aos deuses, escolhendo o seu auxílio como a dádiva suprema.
