क्षणेन क्षीणबाणो<थ संवृत्त: फाल्गुनस्तदा | भीश्वैनमाविशत् तीव्रा तं दृष्टवा शरसंक्षयम्
kṣaṇena kṣīṇabāṇo ’tha saṃvṛttaḥ phālgunas tadā | bhīśv enam āviśat tīvrā taṃ dṛṣṭvā śarasaṃkṣayam ||
Dalam sekelip mata, Phālguna (Arjuna) mendapati simpanan anak panahnya telah habis. Melihat kehabisan peluru yang mendadak itu, ketakutan yang tajam menyergapnya—goncangan batin tatkala membayangkan dirinya tinggal tanpa senjata di tengah bahaya.
