वृकस्तु परमक्रुद्धो द्रोणं षष्ट्या स्तनान्तरे । विव्याध बलवान राज॑स्तदद्भुतभिवाभवत्,नरेश्वर! बलवान् वृकने अत्यन्त कुपित होकर द्रोणाचार्यकी छातीमें साठ बाण मारे। वह अद्भुत-सी बात थी
vṛkastu paramakruddho droṇaṃ ṣaṣṭyā stanāntare | vivyādha balavān rājan tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian Vṛka, menyala oleh amarah yang amat dahsyat, dengan gagahnya menikam dada Droṇa dengan enam puluh anak panah, wahai raja. Ia tampak sebagai suatu keajaiban—suatu perbuatan yang mengagumkan di tengah amukan pertempuran.
संजय उवाच
