Outer meaning

Varuṇa, Mitra, and Aryaman, together with the Fires, who accompany our right-giving offering—endowed with their consorts—become the powers that accomplish the vaṣaṭ-cry.

Inner meaning

Varuṇa (vast law), Mitra (harmonizing force), and Aryaman (noble right arrangement) join with the multiple Agnis (fires of will) that carry the offering. ‘Smadrāti-sācaḥ’ indicates that these powers move with our right-giving (the offering that is aligned with ṛta). ‘Patnīvantaḥ’ points to the indispensable Shakti-aspect: each power works with its effective energy/consort. As ‘vaṣaṭ-kṛtaḥ’ they make the will-cry effective—turning aspiration into realized action and result in the inner sacrifice.

Universal truth

Truth-law, harmony, and noble order must unite with disciplined will and its effective energy. When knowledge and power act together, the inner command becomes efficacious and transformation follows.

Themes
