Sukta 5.83
दिवो नो वृष्टिं मरुतो ररीध्वं प्र पिन्वत वृष्णो अश्वस्य धाराः । अर्वाङेतेन स्तनयित्नुनेह्यपो निषिञ्चन्नसुरः पिता नः ॥
divó no vṛṣṭíṃ maruto rarīdhvaṃ prá pinvata vṛ́ṣṇo áśvasya dhā́rāḥ | arvā́ṅ eténa stanayitnunéhy ápo ní-siñcann ásuraḥ pitā́ naḥ ||
Wahai Marut, siapkanlah bagi kami hujan dari langit; alirkanlah deras arus-arus kuda jantan yang perkasa. Datanglah kemari dengan guruh ini; menumpahkan air, wahai Asura, jadilah pelindung kebapaan bagi kami.
