Sukta 1.56
वि यत्तिरो धरुणमच्युतं रजोऽतिष्ठिपो दिव आतासु बर्हणा । स्वर्मीळ्हे यन्मद इन्द्र हर्ष्याहन्वृत्रं निरपामौब्जो अर्णवम् ॥
ví yát tiró dharúṇam ácyutaṃ rájo ’tíṣṭhipo divá ātā́su barháṇā | svàrmīḷhe yán máda índra hárṣyā́han vṛtráṃ nír apā́m aubjó arṇavám ||
Ketika engkau melompat melampaui landasan yang teguh, tak tergoyahkan, dan menyeberangi ruang-antara (rajas) dengan daya pengangkatmu, maka dalam ekstasi yang memenangkan Surya (cahaya), wahai Indra, engkau bersukacita menumbangkan Vṛtra dan melepaskan ke luar banjir samudra dari air-waters itu.
