Sukta 2
अमा॑सि॒ मात्रां॒ स्वऽरगा॒मायु॑ष्मान् भूयासम्। यथाप॑रं॒ न मासा॑तै श॒ते श॒रत्सु॒ नो पु॒रा
amā́si mā́trāṃ svàr-agā́m ā́yuṣmān bhūyāsam | yáthā́paraṃ ná mā́sātai śaté śarátsu no purā́ ||
Month after month (I claim) the measured portion that goes to heaven: may I be life-possessed; that the later share be not diminished by months—(a life) of a hundred autumns for us, as of old.
Bulan demi bulan aku menuntut bagian terukur yang menuju surga; semoga aku berumur panjang. Agar bagian yang kemudian tidak berkurang oleh bulan-bulan—(umur) seratus musim gugur bagi kami, sebagaimana dahulu.
