Recitation with translationDevi Upanishad 9

tām agnivarṇāṃ tapasā jvalantīṃ vairocanīṃ karmaphaleṣu juṣṭām | durgāṃ devīṃ śaraṇam ahaṃ prapadye sutarāṃ nāśayate tamaḥ |

devīṃ vācam ajanayanta devās tāṃ viśvarūpāḥ paśavo vadanti | sā no mandreṣam ūrjaṃ duhānā dhenur vāg asmān upasuṣṭutaitu ||9–10||

To her—fire-hued, blazing with austerity; radiant (vairocanī), delighted in the fruits of actions—I take refuge in Durgā the Goddess; she utterly destroys darkness. The gods generated divine Speech; the many-formed creatures speak her. May that Speech, a cow milking out for us sweet nourishment and vigor, come to us well-praised.

Śakti as liberating power (avidyā-tamo-nāśa), Vāk/Śabda as manifestation of BrahmanMahavakya: Indirectly aligns with ‘Prajñānam Brahma’ by presenting divine Vāk/knowledge as Brahman’s power that dispels tamas; not a direct Mahāvākya statement.AtharvaChandas: Mixed; first verse resembles triṣṭubh/jagatī cadence; second has Ṛgvedic hymn-style pādas; overall treated as metrical quotation within Upaniṣadic compilation
