Sukta 13

द्वावि॒मौ वातौ॒ वात॒ आ सिन्धो॒रा प॑रावतः॑ । दक्षं॑ ते अ॒न्य आ॒वातु॒ व्य॑१न्यो वा॑तु॒ यद् रपः॑

IAST Transliteration

dvā́v imáu vātáu vā́ta ā́ síndhor ā́ parāvátaḥ | dákṣaṃ te anyá āvātú vy ànyó vātú yád rápah

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Two are these Winds, O Wind—one from the Sindhu, one from the far region. Let the one blow hither bringing thy efficacious strength; let the other blow apart, away, whatever harm there is.

Translation

हे वात (वायु), ये दो वायु हैं—एक सिन्धु से, एक दूर प्रदेश से। उनमें से एक तेरी प्रभावी शक्ति (दक्ष) लेकर यहाँ फूँके; और दूसरा जो भी हानि (रपस्) है, उसे अलग कर दूर उड़ा दे।
