आगन्म वृत्रहन्तमं ज्येष्ठमग्निमानवम् । यस्य श्रुतर्वा बृहन्नार्क्षो अनीक एधते ॥

Transliteration

ā́ganma vṛtrahántamaṃ jyéṣṭham agním ā́navaṃ | yásya śrutárvā bṛhánn ārkṣó anī́ke édhaté ||

Translation

Nous sommes venus à Agni, le plus grand Vṛtrahan, l’Aîné, l’antique-nouveau; dont la vaste puissance, à l’ouïe lointaine, croît au premier plan de la manifestation.
