नकिष्टं कर्मणा नशद्यश्चकार सदावृधम् । इन्द्रं न यज्ञैर्विश्वगूर्तमृभ्वसमधृष्टं धृष्ण्वोजसम् ॥
nákīṣ ṭáṁ kármaṇā naśad yáś cakā́ra sadā́-vṛdham | índraṁ ná yajñáir viśvá-gūrtam ṛ́bhvasam ádhṛṣṭaṁ dhṛṣṇv-ójasam ||
Nul ne l’atteint par la seule œuvre — lui qui fit croître tout sans cesse. Indra ne s’obtient pas par le sacrifice comme par marché: il est l’universellement loué, le Ṛbhu de puissance, inviolable, d’une énergie hardie.
