Sukta 6.47
अयं स्वादुरिह मदिष्ठ आस यस्येन्द्रो वृत्रहत्ये ममाद । पुरूणि यश्च्यौत्ना शम्बरस्य वि नवतिं नव च देह्यो हन् ॥
ayáṃ svādúr ihá mádiṣṭha āsa yásyéndro vṛtrahátye mamā́da | purū́ṇi yáś cyautnā́ śámbharasya ví navatíṃ náva ca dehyò han ||
Doux est-il ici, le plus enivrant ; en lui Indra exulte pour l’abattement de Vṛtra, le Couvreur. Lui qui brisa les nombreuses forteresses de Śambara, qui frappa les quatre-vingt-dix et neuf — en cette force il prend délice.
