युवं मित्रेमं जनं यतथः सं च नयथः । मा मघोनः परि ख्यतं मो अस्माकमृषीणां गोपीथे न उरुष्यतम् ॥

Transliteration

yuváṃ mitrā́ imaṃ jánam yátathaḥ sáṃ ca nayathaḥ | mā maghónaḥ pári khyatam mó asmā́kam ṛ́ṣīṇāṃ gopīthé na uruṣyatam ||

Translation

Vous deux, ô Mitra et Varuṇa, guidez ce peuple et conduisez-le dans l’unité. Ne vous tenez pas à l’écart des généreux, des donateurs de plénitude; gardez-nous — nos ṛṣi — dans l’enclos protecteur des vaches, et rendez-nous vastes et saufs.
