Sukta 5.29
त्री यच्छता महिषाणामघो मास्त्री सरांसि मघवा सोम्यापाः । कारं न विश्वे अह्वन्त देवा भरमिन्द्राय यदहिं जघान ॥
trī yac chatā mahiṣāṇām agho mā́s trī sarāṃsi maghavā somyā apāḥ | kāraṃ na viśve ahvanta devā bharam indrāya yad ahiṃ jaghāna ||
Trois centaines de forces puissantes, trois courants et les eaux du Soma — tout cela conquit le Généreux (Maghavan). Alors tous les dieux s’écrièrent, comme à l’appel d’un chanteur : « Victoire à Indra ! » lorsqu’il abattit le Serpent (Ahi) ; les puissances universelles acclament le triomphe de la lumière sur l’obstacle.
