Sukta 2.31
उत त्ये देवी सुभगे मिथूदृशोषासानक्ता जगतामपीजुवा । स्तुषे यद्वां पृथिवि नव्यसा वचः स्थातुश्च वयस्त्रिवया उपस्तिरे ॥
utá tyé devī́ subhágē mithū-dṛ́śo uṣásā-náktā jágatām api-júvā | stuṣé yád vāṃ pṛthivi návyasā vácas sthātúś ca váyas trí-vayā upa-stíre ||
Et aussi ces deux déesses, le couple bienheureux d’un seul regard — Uṣas et Naktā, l’Aurore et la Nuit — qui poussent en avant tout ce qui se meut dans les mondes : je vous célèbre lorsque, ô Terre, par une parole plus neuve, l’être qui se tient et les puissances ailées de la vie triple s’étendent comme une couche, comme un fondement, pour ton accroissement.
