Sukta 1.73
अर्वद्भिरग्ने अर्वतो नृभिर्नॄन्वीरैर्वीरान्वनुयामा त्वोताः । ईशानासः पितृवित्तस्य रायो वि सूरयः शतहिमा नो अश्युः ॥
árvadbhir agne árvato nṛ́bhir nṝ́n vī́rair vīrā́n vanuyāma tvó-tāḥ | īśānā́saḥ pitṛ-vittásya rāyó ví sūrayaḥ śatá-himā no aśyuḥ ||
Avec nos coursiers, ô Agni, avec des forces rapides; avec des hommes, avec des puissances héroïques — puissions-nous, protégés par toi, conquérir des héros par des héros. Devenus maîtres de la richesse acquise par les pères, que les voyants lumineux (sūrayaḥ) s’emploient pour nous en mesures centuplées.
