FAQs

It preserves a characteristic Purāṇic battle register—cataloguing weapons and supernatural combatants—to frame conflicts as disruptions of cosmic order, a common narrative technique in early medieval Sanskrit literature.

No specific geographic or pilgrimage location is named in this verse; the scene is presented as a generalized mythic battlefield.

Rather than a direct injunction, the verse highlights anger (roṣa) as a driver of violent escalation, implicitly contrasting wrath-driven force with the broader Purāṇic ideal of restoring order and restraint.
