The Glory of the Mathurā Sacred Landscape: Saṃyamana Tīrtha and the Twelve Sacred Forests
It exemplifies the Purāṇic tīrtha-māhātmya genre, where ritual acts like bathing are tied to social ideals (prosperity, lineage) and merit discourse.
The verse refers back to the previously mentioned tīrtha area in the Mathurā region (contextually near Śivakuṇḍa).
It promotes disciplined engagement with culturally significant water-sites, implicitly supporting care for and continuity of heritage water bodies.
