Brahmavidya Upanishad 32: Verse 32

श्रुत्या यदुक्तं परमार्थमेव तत्संशयो नात्र ततः समस्तम् । श्रुत्या विरोधे न भवेत्प्रमाणं भवेदनर्थाय विना प्रमाणम् ॥३२॥

IAST Transliteration

śrutyā yad uktaṃ paramārtham eva tat saṃśayo nātra tataḥ samastam | śrutyā virodhe na bhavet pramāṇaṃ bhaved anarthāya vinā pramāṇam ||32||

Translation

Lo que la Śruti ha dicho es, en verdad, la verdad suprema; no hay duda aquí—por ello acéptalo por completo. En contradicción con la Śruti no habría pramāṇa (medio válido de conocimiento); sin pramāṇa, ello conduce al error y a la desgracia.

Academic Translation

What is stated by the Śruti is indeed the highest truth; there is no doubt about that—therefore (accept) it wholly. In contradiction to the Śruti, there would be no valid means of knowledge; without a means of knowledge, it would lead to misfortune (error).
