उप स्तुहि प्रथमं रत्नधेयं बृहस्पतिं सनितारं धनानाम् । यः शंसते स्तुवते शम्भविष्ठः पुरूवसुरागमज्जोहुवानम् ॥

úpa stuhi prathamáṃ ratnadhéyaṃ bṛ́haspátiṃ sanitā́raṃ dhánānām | yáḥ śáṃsate stuvaté śámbhaviṣṭhaḥ purūvásur ā́gamat jóhुवānam ||

Acércate y alaba primero a Bṛhaspati, fundamento del tesoro, vencedor de las riquezas. El más benévolo para quien proclama y canta, el de muchos bienes llega a quien lo invoca una y otra vez.
