जघान वृत्रं स्वधितिर्वनेव रुरोज पुरो अरदन्न सिन्धून् । बिभेद गिरिं नवमिन्न कुम्भमा गा इन्द्रो अकृणुत स्वयुग्भिः ॥

Transliteration

jaghā́na vṛtráṃ svádhitir váneva rurója púro áradann síndhūn | bibhéda giríṃ návam ín na kúmbham ā́ gā́ índro akṛṇuta svayúgbhiḥ ||

Translation

Ha abatido a Vṛtra; como hacha en el bosque, ha abierto las frentes que obstruían y ha soltado las corrientes. Ha hendido la montaña como quien rompe una vasija nueva, y con sus propias potencias uncidas Indra ha hecho manifiestos los Rayos —las vacas de Luz.
