शाक्मना शाको अरुणः सुपर्ण आ यो महः शूरः सनादनीळः । यच्चिकेत सत्यमित्तन्न मोघं वसु स्पार्हमुत जेतोत दाता ॥

śā́kmanā śā́ko aruṇáḥ suparṇá ā́ yó maháḥ śū́raḥ sanā́d anī́ḷaḥ | yác cikéta satyám ít tán ná mógham vásu spārhám utá jétotā́ dā́tā ||

Con fuerza poderosa llega el Radiante, el Rojizo, de bellas alas — héroe en lo Vasto, desde antiguo incansable en la marcha. Cuanto él discierne es verdad en verdad; eso nunca es vano: conquista la plenitud deseable de los bienes y también la otorga.
