Sukta 1.161
आपो भूयिष्ठा इत्येको अब्रवीदग्निर्भूयिष्ठ इत्यन्यो अब्रवीत् । वधर्यन्तीं बहुभ्यः प्रैको अब्रवीदृता वदन्तश्चमसाँ अपिंशत ॥
ā́po bhū́yiṣṭhā íty éko abravīd agnír bhū́yiṣṭha íty anyó abravīt | vádharyántīṃ bahúbhyaḥ prá éko abravīd ṛtā́ vádantaś camasā́n apiṃśata ||
«Que las Aguas sean abundantes», dijo uno; «que Agni sea abundante», dijo otro. Uno proclamó la (fuerza) que avanza para los muchos; hablando las verdades de Rita, labraron las copas — recipientes dignos de guardar el deleite.
