Ramayana 1.18.13, 1.18.14 The Bhagavata Purana tells that, when the gods prayed, the Supreme Being appeared as King Dasharatha's four sons, Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna. Bhagavatam 9.10.2 The Devi Bhagavatam says that whoever keeps the vow of Rama Navami in the land called Bharata Varsha rejoices in Vishnu's abode for a period of seven Manvantaras.
