Este breve himno de dos versos invoca a Jyotis/Āditya —la Luz como fuerza cósmica, moral y perceptiva— para que la visión sea clara y la conducta se alinee con ṛta (la rectitud ordenada). Al situar la «luz» en la ordenanza del dharma y unirla al impulso del alba y del sol, el sukta actúa como un encanto protector y sanador: disipa la oscuridad, la confusión y las influencias hostiles, y favorece una prosperidad oportuna (especialmente ganado/riqueza).
