AV 6.54 es un conjuro real-estatal compacto que suelda la prosperidad (rayi, śrī) con una victoria coercitiva que aplasta a los enemigos (amitra-dambhana), para que el patrono permanezca «arriba» en todo choque. Invoca el eje marcial-sacrificial — la fuerza conquistadora de Indra y el sostén del kṣatra por la pareja Agni–Soma — para afianzar soberanía, recursos y predominio bajo presión política.

La humillación del enemigo. Esto—sí, ese yugo superior—yo adorno a Indra con esplendor para auxilio. Auméntale su poder regio, su gran prosperidad, como la lluvia hace crecer la hierba.

अ॒स्मै क्ष॒त्रम॑ग्नीषोमाव॒स्मै धा॑रयतं र॒यिम्। इ॒मं रा॒ष्ट्रस्या॑भीव॒र्गे कृ॑णु॒तं यु॒ज उत्त॑रम्
Para él sostened el poder real, oh Agni-Soma; para él mantened la riqueza. En el ímpetu y el choque de este reino, haced que el aliado uncido sea el de arriba, el vencedor.

सब॑न्धु॒श्चास॑बन्धुश्च॒ यो अ॒स्मां अ॑भि॒दास॑ति । सर्वं॒ तं र॑न्धयासि मे॒ यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒ते
Sea pariente o sin parentesco: quien nos acomete con odio — a ése, por completo, lo sometes para mí, para el sacrificante que exprime (el soma).
