Sukta 103

Mantra 1

प्र पुनानाय वेधसे सोमाय वच उद्यतम् । भृतिं न भरा मतिभिर्जुजोषते ॥

Bring forward the uplifted word to Soma who is purifying, to the wise disposer; carry it like an offering with our thoughts—he will accept and relish it.

Mantra 2

परि वाराण्यव्यया गोभिरञ्जानो अर्षति । त्री षधस्था पुनानः कृणुते हरिः ॥

He flows around the fleeces with the unwearied (filter), anointed by the rays; purifying, the tawny one makes for himself the three seats of stability.

Mantra 3

परि कोशं मधुश्चुतमव्यये वारे अर्षति । अभि वाणीॠषीणां सप्त नूषत ॥

He flows around the vessel dripping sweetness, through the unfailing fleece; and the seven voices of the seers cry out to him and are awakened.

Mantra 4

परि णेता मतीनां विश्वदेवो अदाभ्यः । सोमः पुनानश्चम्वोर्विशद्धरिः ॥

Moving all around, the infallible Soma—leader of our inspired thoughts, bearer of the powers of all the gods—when self-purifying, enters the vessels; the tawny one becomes clear and luminous within us.

Mantra 5

परि दैवीरनु स्वधा इन्द्रेण याहि सरथम् । पुनानो वाघद्वाघद्भिरमर्त्यः ॥

Move around following the divine self-laws; come together with Indra in one chariot. Self-purifying, immortal Soma, travel with the singers and the chanting powers that call you forth.

Mantra 6

परि सप्तिर्न वाजयुर्देवो देवेभ्यः सुतः । व्यानशिः पवमानो वि धावति ॥

Circling like a steed that wins plenitude of force, the god Soma—pressed out for the gods—runs forth in many directions, distributing the widening enjoyment as he purifies himself.
