Sukta 31

AV 3.31 is a Bhaiṣajya hymn that repeatedly “separates” the patient from yakṣma (wasting disease) and from pāpman (malign impurity), while reuniting them with samāyus (a full, unimpaired lifespan). Agni is invoked as the decisive purifier and re-integrator of vitality (prāṇa), aided by cosmic renewers (notably Candra and Parjanya) to restore bodily order, fortune, and endurance.
