The Sacred Greatness of Lohārgala
The ‘Iron-Bolt’ Tīrtha
nānyaṃ vahanti te cāśvā mama vāhā duratyayāḥ || kuṇḍaṃ pañcasaro nāma guhyaṃ kṣetraṃ paraṃ mama
Varāha
It names a specific sacred feature (Pañcasara-kuṇḍa), contributing to the Purāṇic mapping of culturally significant landscapes and pilgrimage imaginaries.
A sacred tank/pond named “Pañcasara” (Pañcasara-kuṇḍa) is identified; modern identification requires regional manuscript comparison and local toponymy studies.
The verse elevates the kṣetra as uniquely significant, implicitly encouraging careful, respectful engagement with designated sacred landscapes.
