Sukta 6.4
नू नो अग्नेऽवृकेभिः स्वस्ति वेषि रायः पथिभिः पर्ष्यंहः । ता सूरिभ्यो गृणते रासि सुम्नं मदेम शतहिमाः सुवीराः ॥
nū no agne’vṛkebhiḥ svasti veṣi rāyaḥ pathibhiḥ parṣy aṃhaḥ | tā sūribhyo gṛṇate rāsi sumnam madema śata-himāḥ su-vīrāḥ ||
এখন, হে অগ্নি, অবৃক (যেখানে কোনো গ্রাসকারী নেই) এমন পথ দিয়ে আমাদের কল্যাণে নিয়ে চলো; পাপ ও দুঃখ-সঙ্কটের সংকীর্ণতা থেকে আমাদের পার করো। যারা সূরি (ঋষি/উদার দাতা) হয়ে তোমার স্তব গায়, তাদের তুমি সেই শুভ অনুগ্রহ দাও; তোমার তেজের মদে আমরা—সুবীর (বীর-সন্তান/বীর-শক্তিসম্পন্ন) হয়ে—শত শীতকাল পর্যন্ত স্থিত থাকি।
