brahmaṇaḥ sṛjataḥ sṛṣṭim ādisarge samutthite | cintābhūn mahatī ko me prajāḥ sṛṣṭā dhariṣyati || 29.2 ||
Varāha (default narrator/instructor voice per dialogue framework; explicit speaker not stated in the fragment)
It reflects a common Purāṇic cosmogonic motif: creation is followed by the question of maintenance (dhāraṇa/pālana), situating the narrative within broader Sanskrit discussions of cosmic functions such as creation, preservation, and regulation.
No geographic location is named in this verse; it is framed as a cosmological episode within the primordial creation (ādisarga).
Implicitly, the verse foregrounds responsibility after origination: the act of bringing beings into existence is paired with the obligation of sustaining and supporting them (dhariṣyati), a principle that can be read as a philosophical instruction about stewardship and care.
