उरुव्यचसाऽग्नेर्धाम्ना पत्यमाने । आ सुष्वयन्ती यजते उपाके उषासानक्तेमं यज्ञमवतामध्वरं नः।

IAST Transliteration

uruvyácasā ’agnér dhā́mnā pátyamāne | ā suṣváyantī yajaté upā́ke uṣásā nákte imáṃ yajñám avatām adhvaráṃ naḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

By Agni’s wide-spreading might, by his established splendour as he rules—hither, sweet-sounding, near unto the worshipper—let Dawn and Night protect this sacrifice, our solemn rite.

Translation

അഗ്നിയുടെ വിശാലമായി വ്യാപിക്കുന്ന ശക്തിയാലും, അവൻ അധിപതിയായി ഭരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിരതേജസ്സായ ധാമത്താലും—മധുരധ്വനിയോടെ മുഴങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ട്, യജമാനന്റെ സമീപത്തേക്ക് വരുന്ന—ഉഷസ്സും രാത്രിയും ഈ യജ്ഞത്തെ, നമ്മുടെ അധ്വരത്തെ (വിധിയാഗം) സംരക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ.
