Devas (collectively, as benefactors in the narrative)
Tirtha: Agnitīrtha
Type: tirtha
Scene: Devas address Maṇḍūka, marked as ‘split-tongued’ by fire, and grant a boon that his voice will travel far; the moment emphasizes varada-mudrā and the contrast between defect and empowered proclamation.
Divine grace can transform even a perceived defect into a lasting spiritual capacity and blessing.
This verse functions as a narrative boon within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya flow, immediately before the shift to Agnitīrtha and Brahmakuṇḍa in the next adhyāya.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; it records a boon (prasāda) bestowed by the devas.
