Frequently Asked Questions

Kṛtyā is portrayed as deliberately made harmful magic that can be placed into objects or situations (food, dice, weapons) to injure a target.

It is a performative reversal: the reciter ritually ‘takes up’ the hostile force from the patron’s sphere and sends it back toward the one who produced it.

No. While it includes martial settings (army, arrow, drum), it also targets domestic and civic arenas like vessels, grains, assemblies, and gambling.
