FAQs

It reflects a common Purāṇic narrative motif: the encounter with a brāhmaṇa or ascetic described through the idiom of tejas (radiant power), a literary marker of authority, discipline, and perceived spiritual potency in classical Sanskrit texts.

No specific geographic site is named in this verse; it only mentions entry into a kuṭī (hut/cottage), a generic setting often associated with hermitages or ascetic dwellings.

Implicitly, the verse foregrounds attentive listening and respectful approach to learned figures—hearing counsel (śrutvā vacas) and then acting—presented as a disciplined mode of conduct within the narrative.
