Sukta 1.77
कथा दाशेमाग्नये कास्मै देवजुष्टोच्यते भामिने गीः । यो मर्त्येष्वमृत ऋतावा होता यजिष्ठ इत्कृणोति देवान् ॥
kathā dāśemā́gnaye kā́ asmai devájuṣṭocyate bhā́mine gī́ḥ | yo mártyeṣv amṛ́ta ṛtā́vā hótā yájiṣṭha ít kṛṇóti devā́n ||
Bagaimana kita menyerahkan diri kepada Agni, dan kata apakah—yang disetujui para Dewa—patut diucapkan kepada yang bercahaya itu? Dia yang di antara para fana adalah abadi, penjaga ṛta, Hotṛ yang paling mahir dalam yajña—dialah yang membentuk para Dewa bagi kita (membuat mereka hadir dan berdaya).
