Sukta 1.35
ह्वयाम्यग्निं प्रथमं स्वस्तये ह्वयामि मित्रावरुणाविहावसे । ह्वयामि रात्रीं जगतो निवेशनीं ह्वयामि देवं सवितारमूतये ॥
hvayā́my agníṁ prathamáṁ svastáye hvayā́mi mitrā́varuṇāv ihā́vase | hvayā́mi rā́trīṁ jágato nivéśanīṁ hvayā́mi deváṁ savitā́ram ūtáye ||
Aku memanggil Agni terlebih dahulu demi svasti (kesejahteraan yang selamat); aku memanggil Mitra dan Varuṇa di sini demi pertolongan penjagaan. Aku memanggil Rātrī, yang menempatkan dan menegakkan dunia yang bergerak; aku memanggil dewa Savitṛ demi perlindungan pemeliharaannya.
