ये गर्भा॑ अव॒पद्य॑न्ते॒ जग॒द् यच्चा॑पलु॒प्यते॑ । वी॒रा ये तृ॒ह्यन्ते॑ मि॒थो ब्र॑ह्मजा॒या हि॑नस्ति॒ तान्

yé gárbhā́ avapádyante jágad yác cāpalupyáte | vīrā́ yé tŕ̥hyante mithó brahmajāyā́ hinasti tā́n

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What embryos fall away, what living order is marred, and what is lost and swept to ruin; what sons are crushed in mutual strife—those the Brahman’s wife smiteth.

Translation

Apa pun janin yang gugur, tatanan hidup yang ternoda, dan apa yang lenyap tersapu menuju kebinasaan; putra-putra yang remuk dalam pertikaian satu sama lain—mereka itulah yang dipukul oleh istri Brahmana.
