Sukta 1.53
ते त्वा मदा अमदन्तानि वृष्ण्या ते सोमासो वृत्रहत्येषु सत्पते । यत्कारवे दश वृत्राण्यप्रति बर्हिष्मते नि सहस्राणि बर्हयः ॥
té tvā madā́ amadan tā́ni vṛ́ṣṇyā té sómāso vṛtra-hátyeṣu sat-pate | yát kāráve dáśa vṛtrā́ṇy apratí barhíṣmate ní sahásrāṇi barháyaḥ ||
इंद्र, सोम रस ने तुझे नशा दिया है। तू बिल्कुल बैल जैसा टगड़ा है। तू दुश्मनों से लड़ता है और जीतता है। जब कोई गाना गाता है और हवन करता है, तू हज़ारों रास्ते खोल देता है। दस बड़े बंधन तोड़ देता है।
