Sukta 1.53
त्वमाविथ सुश्रवसं तवोतिभिस्तव त्रामभिरिन्द्र तूर्वयाणम् । त्वमस्मै कुत्समतिथिग्वमायुं महे राज्ञे यूने अरन्धनायः ॥
tvám āvitha su-śrávasaṃ tavótibhis táva trā́mabhir indra tū́rvayāṇam | tvám asmai kútsam atithi-gvám āyúṃ mahé rā́jñe yū́ne arandhanāyaḥ ||
इंद्र ने सुश्रवस की मदद की जब उसके पास कोई नहीं था। तुर्वयन के लिए भी इंद्र ने रक्षा की। इंद्र ने कुत्सा, अतिथिग्व और आयु को उस राजा के साथ जोड़ दिया। यह बड़ा राजा अब कभी हार नहीं सकता। इंद्र उसे इतना मज़बूत बना देता है कि वो अंदर से भी जीतने लगे।
