राष्ट्रम्। येन॑ दे॒वं स॑वि॒तारं॒ परि॑ दे॒वा अधा॑रयन्। तेने॒मं ब्र॑ह्मणस्पते॒ परि॑ रा॒ष्ट्राय॑ धत्तन
जैसे देवताओं ने सूर्य को चारों तरफ से पकड़ा था, वैसे ही ब्रह्मणस्पति तुम्हारे लिए भी करो। यह प्रार्थना है कि भगवान इस आदमी को राजपाट के लिए तैयार करें। उसको राज गद्दी पर बिठा दें।

परी॒ममिन्द्र॒मायु॑षे म॒हे क्ष॒त्राय॑ धत्तन । यथै॑नं ज॒रसे॑ न॒यां ज्योक् क्ष॒त्रेऽधि॑ जागरत्
इंद्र की ताकत से इस आदमी को लंबी ज़िन्दगी दो। उसे बड़ा राजपाट मिले। हम चाहते हैं कि यह बुढ़ढे तक राज करे। और राज में सोते नहीं, जागते रहें।

परी॒मं सोम॒मायु॑षे म॒हे श्रोत्रा॑य धत्तन । यथै॑नं ज॒रसे॒ नयां ज्योक् क्ष॒त्रेऽधि॑ जागरत्
सोम की ताकत से इस आदमी को लंबी ज़िन्दगी दो। उसे अच्छी सुनने की शमता मिले। हम चाहते हैं कि यह बुढ़ढे तक राज करे। और राज में सोते नहीं, जागते रहें।

परि॑ धत्त ध॒त्त नो॒ वर्च॑से॒मं ज॒रामृ॑त्युं कृणुत दी॒र्घमायुः॑ । बृह॒स्पतिः॒ प्राय॑च्छ॒द् वास॑ ए॒तत् सोमा॑य॒ राज्ञे॒ परि॑धात॒वा उ॑
यह मंत्र बृहस्पति का दिया हुआ वस्त्र है। इस्से पहन के सोम राजा को जरा और मौत से बचा लो। भगवान हमें भी यह वस्त्र दे ताकि हमारी चमक बढ़े और हम लंबी उम्र जियें।

ज॒रां सु ग॑च्छ॒ परि॑ धत्स्व॒ वासो॒ भवा॑ गृष्टी॒नाम॑भिशस्ति॒पा उ॑ । श॒तं च॒ जीव॑ श॒रदः॑ पुरू॒ची रा॒यश्च॒ पोष॑मुप॒संव्य॑यस्व
बुढ़ापा, खुश हो के चला जा। यह कपड़ा पहन ले और गाय-भैंस की रक्षा कर। सौ साल तक जियो, बहुत साल तक। धन और खाना-दाना बढ़ता रहे।

परी॒दं वासो॑ अधिथाः स्व॒स्तयेऽभू॑र्वापी॒नाम॑भिशस्ति॒पा उ॑ । श॒तं च॒ जीव॑ श॒रदः॑ पुरू॒चीर्वसू॑नि॒ चारु॒र्वि भ॑जासि॒ जीव॑न्
तूने यह कपड़ा अपने ऊपर लिया है भले के लिए। तालियों और कुओं की रक्षा कर। सौ साल तक जियो, बहुत साल तक। जी के अपना माल-मालिक आराम से बाँट ले और मज़े ले।

योगे॑योगे त॒वस्त॑रं वाजे॑वाजे हवामहे । सखा॑य॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॑
जब भी काम शुरू करो, जब भी जीत के लिए लगो, हम इंद्र को बुलाते हैं। वो सबसे ताकतवर है। हम उससे दोस्त बना के मदद माँगते हैं।

हिर॑ण्यवर्णो अ॒जरः॑ सु॒वीरो॑ ज॒रामृ॑त्युः प्र॒जया॒ सं वि॑शस्व । तद॒ग्निरा॑ह॒ तदु॒ सोम॑ आह॒ बृह॒स्पतिः॑ सवि॒ता तदिन्द्रः॑
सोने जैसा चमकता, कभी बूढ़ा नहीं होता, औलाद से भरा परिवार। बुढ़ापा और मौत से बच के आजा। अग्नि ने यह कहा, सोम ने यह कहा। बृहस्पति और सविता ने भी कहा, इंद्र ने भी यही कहा।
