Sukta 4.12
इध्मं यस्ते जभरच्छश्रमाणो महो अग्ने अनीकमा सपर्यन् । स इधानः प्रति दोषामुषासं पुष्यन्रयिं सचते घ्नन्नमित्रान् ॥
idhmáṃ yás te jábhārat śaśramāṇó mahó agne ánīkam ā́ saparyán | sá idhānó práti doṣā́m uṣásaṃ púṣyan rayíṃ sacate ghnán amítrān ||
Celui qui, peinant, t’apporte le bois d’allumage et vénère ton puissant visage, ô Agni — celui-là, t’ayant allumé, va au-devant de la Nuit et de l’Aurore; nourrissant rayi (la plénitude, la richesse), il s’y joint et abat les puissances hostiles.
