Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (hymn to Anumati; specific r̥ṣi attribution varies in ancillary lists)
Devata: Anumati (personified Consent/Approval)
Mantra 1
Anumati is the personified power of consent and approval—the divine assent that makes an offering acceptable and lets the desired results (welfare, progeny, prosperity) mature.
It seeks approval of the yajña, protection of the ritual from obstacles, household welfare (śam), agrarian success (good fields), and procreative success (strong sons and progeny).
It is suited to household offerings or the opening/authorization of a rite: recited with simple āhutis into Agni, asking Anumati to accept the offering and bless the patron’s home with increase and children.
