Sukta 8.95
तमु ष्टवाम यं गिर इन्द्रमुक्थानि वावृधुः । पुरूण्यस्य पौंस्या सिषासन्तो वनामहे ॥
tám u ṣṭavāma yáṃ gíra índram ukthā́ni vāvṛdhúḥ | purū́ṇy asyá paúṃsyā sisā́santo vanāmahe ||
A él queremos alabar — a Indra, a quien las palabras y las solemnes recitaciones (ukthāni) han acrecentado. Anhelando alcanzar sus muchas potencias varoniles (paúṃsyā), nos esforzamos por ganarlas como posesión nuestra: las fuerzas del ser victorioso.
