Sukta 8.27
वयं तद्वः सम्राज आ वृणीमहे पुत्रो न बहुपाय्यम् । अश्याम तदादित्या जुह्वतो हविर्येन वस्योऽनशामहै ॥
vayáṃ tád vaḥ samrā́ja ā́ vṛṇīmahe putró ná bahu-pā́yyam | aśyā́ma tád ādityā́ júhvato havír yéna vásyo ’náśāmahai ||
Eso escogemos de vosotros, oh Potestades soberanas, como un hijo escoge la ayuda que mucho protege. Que lo alcancemos, oh Ādityas, al verter el havis; por esa ofrenda podamos participar del bien mejor y más luminoso.
