Sukta 75

Mantra 1

अभि प्रियाणि पवते चनोहितो नामानि यह्वो अधि येषु वर्धते । आ सूर्यस्य बृहतो बृहन्नधि रथं विष्वञ्चमरुहद्विचक्षणः ॥

He flows toward the beloved things, set for delight; the impetuous one grows upon the names (the powers of expression). Upon the vastness of the Sun, the Vast, the discerning one has mounted the all-pervading chariot.

Mantra 2

ऋतस्य जिह्वा पवते मधु प्रियं वक्ता पतिर्धियो अस्या अदाभ्यः । दधाति पुत्रः पित्रोरपीच्यं नाम तृतीयमधि रोचने दिवः ॥

The tongue of Ṛta flows—honey, beloved; the faultless lord and speaker of this inspired thought. The son sets the hidden name of the Parents, the third, upon the shining realm of heaven.

Mantra 3

अव द्युतानः कलशाँ अचिक्रदन्नृभिर्येमानः कोश आ हिरण्यये । अभीमृतस्य दोहना अनूषताधि त्रिपृष्ठ उषसो वि राजति ॥

Down he shines, crying out to the jars, guided by the men into the golden vessel. The milkings of Ṛta have sounded to him; set upon the triple seat, he shines widely with the Dawns.

Mantra 4

अद्रिभिः सुतो मतिभिश्चनोहितः प्ररोचयन्रोदसी मातरा शुचिः । रोमाण्यव्या समया वि धावति मधोर्धारा पिन्वमाना दिवेदिवे ॥

Pressed by the stones, set for delight by the inspired thoughts, the pure one makes the two Mothers shine. Through the woolen hairs in due season he runs apart; the stream of honey swells day by day.

Mantra 5

परि सोम प्र धन्वा स्वस्तये नृभिः पुनानो अभि वासयाशिरम् । ये ते मदा आहनसो विहायसस्तेभिरिन्द्रं चोदय दातवे मघम् ॥

O Soma, range and stream forth on every side for our well-being; as you are being purified by the powers of the human being, clothe us in the rich plenitude (āśis). With those ecstasies of yours—smiter of obstruction, wide-ranging in the inner expanse—impel Indra to give the mighty abundance.
