Ṛṣayaḥ (the sages)
Tirtha: Mūlasthāna (Sūrya-sthāna)
Type: kshetra
Listener: viprendra (a leading brāhmaṇa addressed)
Scene: A sage-like brāhmaṇa is instructed by a divine/authoritative speaker that the place shall henceforth be called Mūlasthāna, a radiant solar seat; the landscape shows a riverbank with morning light and a simple hermitage.
Recognizing and dwelling in a deity’s sthāna strengthens spiritual life; sacred geography is also preserved through naming and remembrance.
The Sūrya-sthāna newly designated as ‘Mūla-sthāna’ within the Prabhāsa-kṣetra context.
Residence (sthiti) at the Sūrya-sthāna is recommended as a spiritually meaningful observance.
