ब्राह्मणे वेदविदुषे यद्दत्त्वा फल माप्नुयात् । तत्पुण्यं कोटिगुणितमस्मिन्नाचरिते व्रते
brāhmaṇe vedaviduṣe yaddattvā phala māpnuyāt | tatpuṇyaṃ koṭiguṇitamasminnācarite vrate
Welchen Lohn man auch erlangen würde, wenn man einem vedakundigen Brāhmaṇa Almosen gibt,—wird dieses Gelübde (vrata) geübt, so wird eben dieses Verdienst crore-fach vervielfacht.
